Target Beauty Box review April, 2017

The Target Beauty Box is a one-time purchase seasonal box that includes deluxe sized samples and full sized beauty products available at Target.

This review is for the April Target Beauty Box.

The Goods

  1. Colour Precise White Eyeliner – Rimmel. Regular price: $5.59

Rimmel’s Colour Precise Eyeliner is their first soft tapered felt tip, colored liquid liner delivering a high dose of color with excellent precision and absolute accuracy to achieve thin, fine lines or bold flicks with exceptional staying power. The ultimate tool for defining eyes, this liner has a creamy texture and is easy to apply in one single stroke. I was planning on giving this to a friend, but figured I might as well try it first. It actually doesn’t look so bad, check it out!

  1. Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser – La Roche-Posay. Regular price: $1.00

Freshen, cleanse and remove excess oil with La Roche Posay Toleriane Purifying Foaming Cleanser. This soap, sulfate and fragrance-free cleanser is boosted by the use of prebiotic thermal water, working gently and effectively while taming oily skin. This cleanser is gentle and effortlessly removes all of my makeup and leaves my face feeling fresh and clean.

  1. Double-Duty Base & Top Coat – Sally Hansen. Regular price: $3.99

Why buy base coat and a top coat when you can get all the benefits in one product? Double Duty is a combination of base coat and top coat that hydrates and seals the nail bed. It can be used as an extremely durable top coat over your favorite Sally Hansen nail enamel. I actually do not wear nail polish, but I don’t mind clear polish just to keep my nails safe and strong.

  1. Argan Oil Repairing Deep Conditioner – HASK. Regular price: $1.74

This deep conditioner is a super strengthening, hydrating treatment that will restore and smooth dry, damaged, chemically treated or over processed hair. Argan Oil, unique to Morocco, is known for its high absorbing, penetrating and split end repairing qualities while leaving even the most damaged hair soft and nourished with added moisture. I applied this all over my hair in the shower, switched to bath and took a bath and washed up, then back to shower mode and rinsed it out. That way it was in my hair for about 15 minutes, and after I blow-dried my hair it was sooo soft and smooth, it felt like I’d just gotten home from the salon. I love it.

  1. Lavender Foaming Bath – Dr. Teals. Regular price: $1.00

Dr. Teal’s Lavender Foaming Bath transforms an ordinary bath into a relaxing spa with luxurious essential oils to soothe the senses, relax tense muscles and provide relief from stress. Lavender essence has soothing properties that are known to encourage a better night’s sleep. This is absolutely perfect for me! I love baths, with bath bombs, bath soak, essential oil, salts you name it. This lavender foaming bath smells amazing and is super soothing and relaxing to use in a late-night bath.

  1. Facial Cleanser – eb5. Regular price: $1.00

Eb5 Facial Cleanser is gentle and moisturizing, Discover the sensation of clean, healthy skin without the dryness, tightness or irritation that normal soaps cause! Soap-free and non-foaming AHAs gently exfoliate while Vitamins E and B5 nourish your skin. This cleanser leaves my skin feeling clean and refreshed.

  1. Dry Balance SPF 30 – Banana Boat. Regular price: $1.30

According to the Skin Cancer Foundation, 1oz (golf ball size) of sunscreen should be applied daily, 30 minutes before heading outside, and reapplied every two hours or immediately after swimming, sweating or toweling off – but many beach and park-goers alike are deterred by the sticky, weighted feeling of their sunscreens. That’s why Banana Boat® is excited to introduce NEW Banana Boat Dry Balance Sunscreen, formulated to draw away excess moisture, and dry with a soft matte finish – so nice that you’ll want to reapply! Designed for ideal skin feel, this sunscreen keeps you protected from the sun while feeling dry and fresh so you can enjoy your day – no matter where you are!

The value of the products in this month’s box is about $15.62. Given the quality of the products and the $7.49 price tag of this box, this is an ok value. I hope I can manage to get another Target Beauty Box in the future, so far I’ve gotten lucky twice, I have my fingers crossed for upcoming boxes! This box did not have as great a value as Target boxes usually do, but that’s ok. I like everything that came except maybe the white eyeliner. Overall I’m happy with this box.

This is the link to the Beauty Box, but I’m not sure when the next box will be released and this box is currently sold out. Good Luck!
