The Goods

  1. Koha Pork Jerky Strips – Nootie. Regular price: $8.00

These treats are grain-free and made in the USA. Kona always loves jerky treats so I was happy to see them. The first ingredient is pork liver so that is a good sign, and Kona loves these! He was so cute sitting pretty for them, as you can see!

  1. Prime Rib Biscuits – Treat Simple Dog Treats. Regular price: $6.00

img_0307

These treats are 100% natural and made in the USA. The ingredients are oat flour, beef, olive oil, brown rice, parsley and garlic. Sounds like the ingredients to real prime rib to me, lol. Kona will eat bones like this but he prefers treats that are chewy or jerky. He still ate it though! I love his fancy-dog rollover he is doing for these treats, lol.

  1. Bear Squeak Rug – Bark & Co. Regular price: $12.00

This toy has lots of crackling crinkling material in it, as well as 2 squeakers and fur. All of Kona’s favorite things in one toy! He went CRAZY for this, after I was done playing with him with this toy I tried to get him to play with the other toy from the box for picture purposes and I’d throw the other toy, and he’d run and grab this bear and try to get me to throw it like “No, this one!” Haha. Ours came missing a back leg which I think is cool and unique. I thought maybe there was a reason for that, but the pictures online of this toy have all 4 legs so I guess ours is just special!

  1. Britta’s Boot – Bark & Co. Regular price: $10.00

img_0367

A Bark & Co Original, this boot is stuffed with a squeaker inside and fringed with high-pile shearling-like plush. The heavy chewer version is made of tough nylon, and both feature a tough rope along the ankle of the boot to give your pup something extra to sink their teeth into. Kona would play with this is I really tried, but he definitely prefers soft furry squeaky toys as opposed to smooth harder ones.

  1. The Contender – Butchers Block Bones. Regular price: $4.00

img_0389

This is made from beef femur bone that’s hickory smoked. It had a lot of loose crusty pieces that Kona likes, he prefers bones that are rewarding as opposed to the antler or harder bones that don’t have any marrow or meat on them. He is still working on this one, and it is not making a mess even though there is the loose parts. It doesn’t stain the carpet and Kona eats anything that falls off so that’s good!

Value

The items in this month’s box are worth a total of $40.00. This subscription is 24.00/month for me with the 3 month option. The month-to-month price for Bark Box is $29.00, so I think it makes sense to buy 3 months and save $15.00. BarkBox always has high quality toys and treats, and never disappoints me. In my opinion, BarkBox is the best option for a dog subscription if you are interested in a dog subscription that has equal amounts of toys and treats. (Other boxes focus on one or the other).

This month was a great box. Kona LOVES the jerky treats and the bear toy, and the butchers bone will keep him busy for hours!
