This review is late, but I was on vacation when it came and didn’t get a chance until now to review!

The Goods

  1. Maple Bacon Ice Cream for Dogs – Puppy Scoops. Regular price: $6.99

img_9438

Puppy Scoops ice cream is grain free and made with whole milk. It is shelf stable for 9 months, all natural and made in the USA. I have bought Kona “Frosty Paws” by Purina in the past and he wouldn’t touch it, so I didn’t think he’d like this either. Boy, was I wrong! He LOVED this ice cream! It was too hard to scoop (lol) so I just set down the container and grabbed it after he finished what I would consider a scoop.

  1. Elephant Dog Toy -Kikkerland. Regular price: $10.59

img_9440

This Elephant Dog Toy from Kikkerland is designed to clean your dog’s teeth whilst they play. Made from cotton fibres and natural dyes its big and durable, just like an Elephant. Kona really only liked toys that have fur, squeak or both, so he wasn’t crazy about this toy. I got him interested enough to snap this picture but he didn’t want to play with this or fetch it once he checked it out.. it was not Kona approved. I will give it to my aunt’s dog for Christmas!

  1. Goody Ball – Petzip. Regular price: $7.99

img_9444

This interactive dog toy makes giving your dog treats fun for everyone! It is made of rubber and is split down the middle and open on both sides, forming 2 compartments to hide treats. Kona enjoyed this, he enjoys anything involving treats. Although it didn’t challenge him, (he got the treats out in 2 seconds), it’s still a cool toy.

  1. “A House is Not a Home Without a Pet” Wall Plaque – Regent Products. Regular price: $12.50

img_9465

This is $12.50 on Ebay, but I’m sure since it’s made in China it is actually super cheap off an Alibaba-like site. It’s very cute though… it was funny, my boyfriend was like, “Aren’t you going to hang that plaque that says ‘Home is Where the Pets Are’? I started cracking up I was like it doesn’t say that, that sounds so dumb hahaha.

  1. Milk Chocolate with Sea Salt and Caramel – Baron Chocolatier. Regular price: $1.29

img_9468

Baron’s Sea Salt caramel bar is rich and creamy and tastes like delicious caramel mixed with the fresh natural taste of sea salt bites. The perfect combination of sweet and salty has arrived! This candy bar is GMO free and made with natural ingredients. It has a really cool texture, soft milk chocolate with added texture of little salt and caramel bits. It was really good. It is a product of Poland, and German Chocolate is my favorite… this probably tastes so good since Poland is right by Germany. Haha!

  1. “You Left Pawprints on My Heart” Wall plaque. Regular price: $9.99

img_9470

This 7x 5 wall hanging plaque says “You Left Pawprints on my Heart”. It has a perforated slot for easy hanging or it can sit on a shelf or mantle. It’s also really cute, but I have about 5 pet-related quote wall plaques and it’s getting kind of ridiculous, so I might pass this one on to a fellow pet owner, lol!

  1. Carob Peanut Butter Crunch Treat – Emmy’s Gourmet Canine Creations. Regular price: $1.35

img_9471

Emmys Canine Creations have been analyzed for calorie, protein, fiber, fat,  and moisture content. Nutritional information is posted on each package. The Carob Peanut Butter Crunch treats are grain-free. Veterinarian recommended, Emmy’s Treats provide the perfect combination of healthy nutrition and great taste. Kona does not like hard treats, he wouldn’t touch this as-is, but once I broke it up in to lots of small pieces he seemed to enjoy it.

  1. Market Cuts Chicken Jerky – Dingo. Regular price: $8.91

img_9483

Dingo Market Cuts Chicken Jerky is made with 100% chicken and free of artificial flavors and chicken by-products. High in protein, low in fat and free of gluten to help keep dogs strong and healthy. These are made in the USA with USA sourced, high quality chicken. Kona absolutely loves these treats and goes crazy for them when I pull them out. It’s fun to watch him frantically cycle through all the tricks he knows instead of waiting for me to tell him which one to do haha! So funny. He got this in his August box as well, I hope these are not something they’ve had in the warehouse since then and are re-using.

BONUS – $50 OFF First HelloFresh box. I will post the code here because I’ve already gotten my first HelloFresh box, so if anyone would like to use this have at it!

Value

The total value of the items in this month’s box is $59.61! The subscription is $24/month with the month to month subscription. This is the subscription option I pay for, but there are less expensive plans if you buy all at once. I think the value is great, I am staying subscribed to this one! I was happy with this months box, but there was quite a bit of stuff Kona didn’t like or I won’t use. He doesn’t like the elephant, the treat ball is not a challenge, he didn’t like the turkey shaped treat, there was TWO wall plaques.. I think one is enough, and I hope those jerky treats were re-ordered and not from the same batch as the ones in my August box. OK so yeah, maybe this box wasn’t my favorite ever, lol.

A lot of the boxes I am subscribed to occasionally have values more than twice the cost of the box, but Pet Treater is unique in that every box is at least 2x as valuable than the cost. (This month 3x as valuable!) If you only want to subscribe to ONE box for pets, this box will give you the most bang for your buck!
