The Goods

  1. Dark Cocoa Nom Noms – NatureBox. Regular price: $3.99

The Nom Nom craze began with peanut butter and continues to grow – with Dark Cocoa. Feed your nom nom addiction with this blend of oats, cocoa and vanilla – like a soft-baked double chocolate cookie. Best enjoyed with a glass of milk in hand, it will take the edge off your chocolate craving. These are pretty good, I think I’d prefer them in milk chocolate though, dark chocolate cocoa is a little too bitter for my taste.

  1. Mini Belgian Waffles – NatureBox. Regular price: $3.99

These are a combination of a European-style Belgian waffle and a cookie.  Buttery, crunchy, and just simply delicious. I love cookies and I love waffles, so these are awesome in my opinion. They’re sweet but not too sweet, and an easy breakfast on the go when I don’t have time to cook real waffles!

  1. Lemon Tea Biscuits – NatureBox. Regular price: $3.99

These are best enjoyed with tea, hence the name. I eat mine with coffee and that they go great with coffee, too.  They’re made with simple ingredients, just like the original English tea biscuits, like flour, butter, powdered sugar, honey, and lemon flavor. Whether you choose to eat ‘em, dunk ‘em, or make into a pie, the possibilities are endless. They taste like lemon flavored butter cookies to me and are perfect for a middle-of-the-day snack.

  1. Lemon Almond Biscotti Bites – NatureBox. Regular price: $3.99

In NatureBox’s version of the classic Italian breakfast treat, a deliciously crunchy and dunk-worthy almond biscuit is made with a kiss of lemon. Add a touch of sophistication to your morning coffee routine. And be sure to take the time for “Dolce far Niente” (the sweetness of doing nothing). I loved the consistency of these, not too hard like some biscotti’s I’ve tried but not too soft either. The lemon flavor is subtle and these go great with coffee as well.

  1. Blueberry Almond Quinoa Bites – NatureBox. Regular price: $4.29

Quinoa is one of those hard-to-pronounce fashionable grains that everyone’s talking about. But for good reason! Few grains pack more of a nutritious punch, especially in these tasty little bites of puffed quinoa, combined with dried blueberries, almonds, and pumpkin seeds. I was caught off guard by how crunchy these were, and so were my co-workers! I started eating one and everyone looked at me and was like “What are you eating?!” They taste great and I love the blueberry favors with the crunchy almond and quinoa texture. Probably my favorite snack in this month’s box.

Value

NatureBox is $19.95 per month if you are paying monthly, and I came up with a value of about $20.25 for the items in this month’s box. This is about average for food subscriptions; the actual value is usually a lot closer to the box cost than with beauty or lifestyle boxes.  So all in all, if you do love all the snacks NatureBox has to offer, this box could be of value to you. I like NatureBox because I know any snacks I get from them will be made with all natural ingredients and no artificial flavors, corn syrup, MSG or hydrogenated oils. It feels good knowing my snacks are healthy and less than 200 calories.
