The Target Beauty Box is a one-time purchase seasonal box that includes deluxe sized samples and full sized beauty products available at Target.
I’m so excited that I FINALLY acquired my unicorn box! Oh, a unicorn box is an elusive subscription box that I love and must have but consistently eludes my attempts to subscribe. I had to do a double take when I saw they were still in stock, this is a big moment for me!
- Water Bank Moisture Cream – Laneige. Regular price: $12.80
This 24 hour moisturizing cream strengthens and retains moisture. Hydro Ionized Mineral Water and Biogen technology deliver moisture to the skin all day long to relieve dry skin. Olive squalane and glasswort extracts reinforce skin’s natural moisture barrier, preventing future moisture loss and retaining optimal moisture levels. To use this, gently spread the cream from the center of your face outward after serum. I am a bit obsessed with facial serums and moisturizers (anti-aging in general), so I am excited to add this to my skin itinerary!
- The Only One Lipstick – Rimmel. Regular price: $6.99
Rimmel’s The Only One Lipstick is a no compromise all-in-one lipstick with supreme long-lasting color, comfort, moisture and wear. I would never be caught wearing red lipstick (except for reviewing sake). I really did love how this lip stick felt, it glides on super smooth and leaves my lips feeling more like they have chap stick than lipstick on, but the color is still really intense and pigmented, it really is an awesome lipstick. On the website they advertize that this box comes with the color “Naughty Nude” which I seriously LOVE, it is the exact color I would want! But Nooo… I got the color “Best of the Best”, which is the color in the pic. Ughhhh!
- Nourishing Coconut Milk Conditioner – Organix. Regular price: $.99
This sulfate-free formula adds gentle conditioners to create silky smooth hair. Nourishing Coconut Milk Conditioner by OGX is enriched with organic coconut milk and coconut oils to moisturize while ultra-whipped egg white proteins repair and strengthen. This conditioner is made in the USA and not tested on animals. It smells amazing, too! Coconut is my favorite scent in the world, I actually wear coconut water body mist as opposed to perfume because I love the scent so much! This conditioner lathered up beautifully and felt so nice as my fingers combed through it. Best part of all: my hair smells like coconuts now! Woohoo!
- Peppermint Lip Balm – S.W. Basics. Regular price: $5.00
S.W. Basics Organic Peppermint Lip Balm is a rich, moisturizing lip treatment made simply with only cocoa butter, beeswax, coconut oil, and pure peppermint essential oil. It’s USDA Certified Organic, so it’s free of synthetic chemicals and genetically engineered organisms. What really makes S.W. Basics Organic Peppermint Lip Balm so great is that, because it’s made without any synthetic ingredients, fragrance, petrochemicals, or other nasties, you can be confident there’s nothing going on your mouth that shouldn’t be going in your mouth. This lip balm feels really good on my lips, it smells similar to Burt’s Bees but feels a lot better than Burt’s (Burt’s is a little dry and rough on my lips personally). Glad I got this in a box because I’d never pay $5 for lip balm lol!
- Jojoba Monoi Natural Deep Conditioner – Eden Body Works. Regular price: $1.00
Jojoba Monoi Natural Deep Conditioner strengthens hair through a botanical combination of coconut, jojoba, and monoi. Formulated to replenish hair strength and restore hair’s natural beauty from over processing, damage, and dryness. This deep conditioner is fortified to balance the hair’s moisture level, resulting in stronger, healthier, more manageable hair. This is the thickest deep conditioner I’ve tried, and thicker must be better because a small amount effortlessly coated all of my strands, and left my hair smooth, soft, bouncy, and full. Love love love this!
- Baking Soda Pore Cleanser – Biore. Regular price: $.95
Bioré Baking Soda Liquid Pore Cleanser deep cleans to remove dirt and impurities from the pores while gently exfoliating away dead cells to reveal smooth healthy looking skin. It is made in the USA, hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested. This cleanser had the little exfoliating beads that I believe are crucial to a good face wash, and it had a nice creamy texture that lathers into a foam. I’m really happy with this, my face is so fresh and so clean clean!
- The Falsies Push Up Drama Mascara – Mabelline Volum’ Express. Regular price: $7.49
This Mabelline mascara pushes up lashes for dramatic volume and lift. It has a push up cup brush with revolutionary cup shaped bristles, and scoops and lifts from the root to add bold volume. This mascara is ophthalmologist tested and contact lens safe. I got the vibe from this mascara that it might be a dupe of Benefit’s Roller Lash. Actually I’m fairly certain of this. The instructions say to “sweep lashes from root to tip”, not to wiggle it back and forth like most mascaras do. This is KEY, because at first I wiggled it like I always do and my lashes were super clumpy from all the mascara sitting in between the gaps in the brush. By sweeping it straight, my lashes stayed mostly in the cups and I got a nicely separated look as opposed to thick and clumpy. A lot of reviews online complain of this making their lashes super clumpy, too, and I suspect these people probably also were doing it wrong. Once I got it right though, I liked the finished look of this mascara. My lashes were longer, separated, and had considerably more volume. Winning!
The value of the products in this season’s box is about $35.22. Given the quality of the products and the $10.00 price tag of this box, I’d say this is a great value! I hope I can manage to get another Target Beauty Box in the future, although I have a feeling I just got lucky this time, lol.
This is the link to the Beauty Box, but I’m not sure when the next box will be released and this box is currently sold out. Good Luck!
