Beauty Box 5 review July, 2016

Beauty Box 5 is a subscription-based, beauty sampling service that delivers 5 deluxe samples and full-sized products to your door every month.

The theme of this months box is “Road Trip Ready”.

The Goods

      1. Eye Shadow – Hikari Cosmetics. Regular price: $13.00

This highly pigmented powder glides on so easily and is super buildable. Throw this single into your makeup bag – it’s the perfect traveling companion. This color is called Champagne, and is described on the site as a gold shimmer. It’s still on and didn’t fade much throughout the day today, woohoo!

When I applied it this morning I thought it had a green tint to it, almost certainly. It is still beautiful though.

2. Round Blending Brush – Beauty Box 5. Regular price: $10.00

Use this brush to buff eyeshadow  and sweep on glowing highlight. This brush is a great size, shape, and density for contouring my nose. First, I use a small precise brush to run concealer down the middle, and contour down each side to make it thin. Then this brush is perfect to buff the lines down my nose so they blend without mixing or spreading. Glad I can use this!

3. Mini Mitt – Skinny Tan. Regular price: $4.95

This handy mitt-lette will help you apply self-tanner evenly and streak-free while keeping the color from staining your fingers. I still have the Mystic Tan bronzer lotion from May’s BB5, it is lasting a while because I only need to use it once a week, and just on my face. I normally wash my hands directly after, but now I have this cute little mitt to use so I won’t have too, yay!

4. Rose Gold Treezers – Sweep. Regular price: $14.00

Stash these rose gold beauties in your center console or purse in case of a stray eyebrow hair emergency! The sharp, slant tip is ideal for plucking brow and chin hairs. I’m very picky about tweezers, it’s so hard to find ones that easily pluck any hair that needs plucking, even the shortest or thinest ones. These tweezers passed the test, I’ll definitely throw these in my purse since they have the cool little protective case.

This came with the tweezers, the back is a mirror so you can pluck anywhere (like the bathroom stall on a date) in case of an emergency! Haha.

      5. Tantalizing Taupe Eyebrow Color Pencil – Chella. Regular price: $18.00

A bold, defined brow perks up your face more than gas station coffee (and it’s probably fresher, too!). The super fine tip on this essential keeps everything precise and there’s no need to sharpen!

I LOVE this brow pencil!!! I had Benefit brow mascara, which is nice but it’s hard to fill in the thin areas with just the thickening and lengthening of actual brow hair, so I’d fill it in with a powder brow kit and precision brush, but the powder can drop underneath like eyeshadow does under eyes, and the edges weren’t sharp or smooth. This pencil fills in my brows so they’re evenly colored and defined. I can make my arch with precision so easily, and the color is perfect because it’s not unnaturally dark OR light, it’s just right. Just see for yourself, lol.

This months box also came with a $10.00 gift card for The Better Skin Co. Mirakle Cream.

The total value or the items in this months box is $59.95 ($69.95 with the gift card). Beauty Box 5 is $12.00 per month, so this box is a great value! I always feel like I’m getting away with something when I get this box, like I’m buying something at the store for $12.00 with $50.00 of stuff in my bra type feeling hahaha! It’s a rush, let’s just say that.
