Bulu Box review June, 2016 (+ 3for1 code)

Bulu Box is a health, nutrition and weight loss subscription box designed to help you feel your best. Each month, they send a custom box filled with a new mix of 4 to 5 premium samples to try.

The Goods

  1. Vital 4U Premium Multi Vitamin. Regular price: $1.50

Vital 4U Multi contains 14 vitamins including vitamin E, lecithin, vitamin C complex, vitamin A, bee pollen, B vitamins, minerals, amino acids, an herbal complex and a power complex to optimize every area of your health. I’m pretty impressed with these packs, they cover heart, immune, brain, eye, and bone health all in one purchase. The cost is pretty high ($45.00 for a month), but if you buy a lot of vitamins separately already, this could save you time and money. It takes the guess work out of a vitamin regimen. It is so much better for the body to take individual vitamins and minerals rather than a condensed multi-vitamin, this company gets that.

2. XyliChew Gum – Black Licorice Flavor. Regular price: $1.89

This gum is GMO free with no artificial flavors. It’s also artificial sweetener, sugar, and gluten free and vegan. It is sweetened with Birch Xylitol extracted from US forests. Xylitol helps slow the rate and amount of acid production in the mouth, reducing the acid-producing bacteria that erode teeth enamel. I’ve tried many flavors of XyliChew in the past and usually love this gum, but I’m just not, nor have I ever been, a fan of black licorice… yuck.

3. Fitmiss Delight Vanilla Chai Protein Shake. Regular price: $1.37

FitMiss Delight contains a special protein that is designed to make you feel full. It also delivers a full day’s essential nutrients with quality calories. The unique blend of fruits and vegetables delivers optimal levels of digestive enzymes, vitamins and minerals. The gluten-free balance of carbohydrates, fats, and high-quality proteins provide sustained energy and appetite satisfaction.  Best of all, it is formulated specifically based on women’s nutritional needs.

To make the shake, just combine the pack with 8 oz milk, water, coconut milk, or the liquid of your choice. I chose milk. Then you put it in a blender with ice and pulse until smooth.

It got all dense and frothy in the blender, I swear it started as 8 oz haha! This shake tasted AMAZING! I was pleasantly surprised by how delicious it was. The vanilla flavor was more prominent than the chai, but I could still taste a bit of that distinct chai flavor. I finished this in about 10 minutes and 3 brain freezes, lol!

4. Herbal Zap – Digestive Cool and Calm. Regular price: $.75

Digestive Cool and Calm soothes and nourishes digestion. It is an herbal supplement drink powder. This supplement is non-GMO verified, vegan, kosher, gluten-free, and sustainably produced. Amla, the key herb, is an antioxidant powerhouse and is great for hyper-activity in your digestive system. I thought it looked like fish food pellets…

To make this, you mix 1 packet into 6 oz of water. Once dissolved, it is a suspicious looking yellow colored liquid.

At this point I did not have high expectations, but this managed not to even meet those. It tasted like watered down, expired lemonade. Not a fan of this one!

5. Pure Growth Organic Popcorn – Sea Salt. Regular price: $1.08

Pure Growth Popcorn is organic, gluten-free, kosher and contains no artificial colors, flavorings, or trans fat. I LOVED this popcorn… it tasted super fresh and had the perfect amount of sea salt. I wish I had a bigger bag!

6.  Caveman Bars – Dark Chocolate Almond Coconut and Dark Chocolate Cherry Nut. Regular price: $2.00

The perfect combination of nutritious, wholesome ingredients with an incredible taste to match. Caveman bars are made with healthy nuts, fruit, and seeds to fuel and fill you up. Literally the most delicious nutrition bar I’ve ever tried by a long shot. If you like to snack on health bars during the day, you really need to give these a try! The almond coconut was like an almond joy on crack, and the chocolate cherry nut tasted, well, like a chocolate covered cherry lol. They were both amazing!

7. VoloVitamins Energy – Citrus Flavor and Berry Flavor. Regular price: $2.00

One packet has 4g of powder for an 8oz bottle of water, and opens easily with the perforated strip. These are packed with all types of vitamins and energy boosting minerals. I did get a noticeable increase in energy after drinking this, but the taste was so bad that I’d prefer not having the extra energy to drinking this again, lol.

The total value of the items in this months box is about $10.59. I used a code to get 3 months for $10.00, so this is a pretty good value for me. It’s fun to try new things, even if it is just samples. I paid $10.00 for 3 months so I can’t expect too much. WITHOUT this promotion, Bulu Box is $10.00/month, and if I had been paying $10.00 for one box I would not be happy about this value. When my three months is up I am not planning on staying subscribed. Also, Caveman Bars and XyliChew have been in my boxes before so I have a weird feeling they have a bunch of old samples they just throw in boxes, instead of all new stuff every month.

Sign up for Bulu Box using this link and code “THREEFORONE” for three months of boxes for only $10.00!
