Chroma.Club review April, 2016

Chroma.Club is a subscription service that delivers an original coloring book to your door every month.

When I got mine in the mail, I thought it was a birthday card because of the size of the envelope. Then I realized it was my Chroma.Club coloring book.

The Goods

  1. Chroma.Club Coloring Book Volume 2. Regular price: $6.00

The book is 5 1/2 in. x 8 1/2 in. and the pictures are 4 1/2 x 7 1/2. The Chroma.Club website describes the coloring books as “Perfectly sized (large paperback).” I guess what I got is not what I imagined based on the description. I was hoping they’d be big enough to frame and hang as art on the wall but they are too small. I checked their website to see if they had suggestions for what to do with the finished pictures, and it says 1. Sign up, 2. Color, 3. Share! With a picture of a lady on her cell phone, lol! Interesting.

Here is a slide show of the pictures I have not colored yet.

Here is the first page I did color:

This one is called “Waves”. I colored it in about 30 minutes. It had been so long since I sat down just to do art, it felt good. It was fun!

This is the second page I colored.

I had fun with this one, blending the different colors. It was titled “Picasso Is That You.”

Well, on the Chroma.Club store, you can buy the Chroma.Club Volume 2 coloring book for $6.00… and the subscription is $8.00… so it is not a great value based on that alone. Besides that, on Amazon you can buy AMAZING adult coloring books, with 48 pictures to color, for $6-7 dollars. For the $8 price tag Chroma.Club puts on their books, they could try and do Something to make it more worth the money. Maybe more than just 8 pages, or maybe larger than a birthday card… you know?

If you think you want to give Chroma.Club a try, use code JUSTINE at checkout for $3.00 off here.
