BarkBox review March 2016

BarkBox is a subscription service that delivers new dog toys and treats to your door every month!

This months theme was “Sherlock Bones.”

The Goods

  1. Harvey Barker Scottie Dog Toy. Regular price: $12.00

I was waving this in front of Kona(my dog) and he seemed disinterested, and then I started squeaking it and he jumped back and started spinning in circles barking and then he enthusiastically played fetch with the toy until he was worn out. Theres something about squeaky toys my dog just loves, so this was a hit! It is heavily stuffed, not soft and squishy. It’s a pretty firm and strongly made toy. Kona approved!

2. The Old Timer Pocket Watch. Regular price: $10.00

Kona loves a game of tug of war, and this toy was much easier to play with than playing tug of war with a stuffed toy and risking pulling an innocent bunny’s leg off, lol! Either side is easy to hold, the rope you can hold with your fingers and the clock side is round so you can hold it in your fist.

3. I’d Rather Be With My Dog Trainers. Regular price: $8.00

These treats are small and soft, they crumble easily if I apply pressure to them. Soft treats are Kona’s favorite so these were a hit! They’re also grain, soy, and gluten free and are “PALEO” diet friendly. It’s nice knowing that even the treats I give my dog are super healthy and safe for him.

4. My Doggy Soft-Baked Peanut Butter Cookies. Regular price: $7.49

These treats are harder than the previous ones and feel more like regular cookies than soft-baked, not that it matters lol. Kona seemed to enjoy these, and I can feel good about feeding them to him. They are grain and corn free, all natural, and the main ingredient is actually peanut butter!

5. Barkworthies Beef Jerky 6″. Regular price: $2.00

Beef Jerky for the win! Kona snatched this and got right down to business. My oblivious and uninterested cat happened to stroll by while he was chewing it and he got so tense and started growling and the cat didn’t even pay attention. It was so funny, he gets so paranoid if he has a treat that takes him a little while to eat like he has to eat it as fast as he can before someone or some animal steals it from him. Even though that’s NeVeR happened, he’s a spaz lol. See him nervously devouring it 🙂

BarkBox is $29.00/month, $24.00/ for 3 months, $21.00/ for 6 months, or $19.00/ for 12 months. The value of the items in this months box is about $40.00, so you do save money using the subscription. Surprising my dog and watching him get so excited about new toys and treats is priceless, though! I pay month to month even though it’s more expensive it is easier for me. Sign up for your first BarkBox today using this link and get a free mystery treat! Also- use code SWISH for 1 free extra month of 3-mo subscription, 2 free extra months of 6-mo subscription, or 3 free extra months of 12-mo subscription. Enjoy!
