Honest Beauty box review March, 2016

Honest Beauty is a skin care and cosmetic subscription box that sends you three products monthly. This is a review of the trial box.

The Goods

  1. Honest Beauty Beyond Protected Daily Beauty Fluid 10ml. Regular price: $6.20

This is a sample size, a regular sized bottle is $28.00. This is an SPF 30 moisturizer. It is more thick than other moisturizers but once it is rubbed in it absorbs quickly and is not greasy.

2. Even Brighter Everyday Moisturizer. Regular price: $2.20

This is a sample size, a regular size bottle is $34.00. This has a very thin consistency and a little bit goes a long way! I massaged it in to my skin to get the circulation going and it gave me a healthy glow and left my skin moisturized, glowing, and not greasy at all which is good. This is good for the lazy days where you don’t want to put on makeup but still want a healthy glow.

3. Honest Beauty Refreshingly Clean Gel Cleanser. Regular price: $3.60

This is a sample size, the regular size is $18.00. This cleanser is great! Normally after I wash my face I have to go over my eyes a couple times just because my eyeliner and mascara is a little harder to remove, but I was surprised when I washed my face with this I looked in the mirror and my whole face was clean and my eyes didn’t need to be gone over again. I was impressed!

4. Makeup Bag. Regular price unknown.

I love this little makeup bag. It’s large enough to hold all of my makeup, but small enough to early fit in a purse or bag without taking up much room. I like the color and shape, too. Defiantly an upgrade from my plain black makeup bag I used before.

The trial box is free + shipping, so about $5.95. The items individually would be around $15.00 depending on the price of the makeup bag so I think the trial is defiantly worth the money and a good discount. The subscription box is $50.00 for 3 makeup/skincare products of your choice, and 25% off any additional items you choose. You can have it ship anywhere from every 4-8 weeks.

Ease of Cancellation

Unfortunately, their cancellation policy is my least favorite. You have to call to cancel Mon-Fri 5am-5pm. I’m not sure why any company would use this method of cancellation.
