Candy Club review February 2016

Candy Club is a subscription box service that delivers 3 pounds of premiere, name brand candy to your door every month.

I love the presentation of this box! As a subscriber of many monthly boxes, Candy Club might be the most impressive yet!

The Goods

  1. Albanese Mini Gummy Butterflies. Regular price: $2.99

These delicate butterflies offer bold fruity flavors of grape, strawberry, orange, blue raspberry, wild cherry, and green apple. These are not your run of the mill gummy bears, they pack big flavor and each is delicious as the fruit it is based off of!

2. Sour Power Wild Cherry Belts. Regular price: $7.89

These are fantastic! They have a tangy and sour coating on the sweet, chewy belts. The cherry flavor is spot on. These are literally mouth watering!

3. Gimbal’s Sour Gourmet Jelly Beans. Regular Price: $3.49

Another delicious candy! These pack more punch than sour JellyBelly’s in my opinion. They’re super flavorful and addicting, mine are almost gone already! What a delight these little jelly beans are.

4. Sweet’s Cotton Candy Salt Water Taffy. Regular Price: $5.99

These taste JUST like cotton candy! I love how they used these as a kind of alternative to packing peanuts, scattered loose in the box. It’s a really creative way to get more candy in the box and worked really well.

Value

The value of the candy in this box is $20.36. Month by month this subscription service is $27.99 (a 12 month plan is $19.99/month, though). Although this isn’t exactly a money saver, I think the point is that you get candies from different companies you wouldn’t find at a store, and the benefit of it being delivered as opposed to finding new candy on your own online. It is fun to try new candies, but you can’t know without trying it how it will taste. With Candy Club, the candies have already been hand selected by taste testers and all of it will most likely taste great. As much as I enjoyed this candy and loved everything about this service, I personally will just cancel and look at their list of candies on the site to find new candy but buy it elsewhere for less money on the internet.

If you want to give it a try, use code “20crush” for $20.00 off your first box!

Ease of Cancellation

Their cancellation policy is my absolute least favorite type of policy out there. The good old “call to cancel”. Literally no other way. Luckily someone answered almost immediately, asked my name, why I was cancelling (I told them because the candy in the box is worth less than they charge), and then cancelled it for me without trying to convince me otherwise… I was at least happy about that. All in all, if you love candy, the ease and quality of this service is worth giving a try.
